Eight!

So this morning when I was doing Kaydence's hair we were picking ou tthe color of hair bands and I needed two so I said "lets count" 1, 2 then she kept going all the way until 8 it completely shocked me but it was so cute and I was so proud I've made her do it all day. I guess she is finally paying attention to the things I try to teach her or maybe I am trying to teach to much at once so it's taking her a little longer to catch on . She is such a smart kid, she talks so much and you can ubderstand almost all of what she says, she can identify colors, some shapes, some of the abc's and now she has learned to count to 8. She will tell me that Jesus and Heavenly Father love her and can pick Jesus out of a picture. She has been completely potty trained for about 3 months it's great. I know I am babbbling but I am just so proud of my little girl!

It's Been Awhile

So we finally bleassed Marley on September 27th and Jared did an amazing job. We were so lucky to have alm ost all of our family join us, and then after for a great luncheon. I found the most perfect dress online at a store called Hevenly Delight but they no longer had one because the company that made the dress went out of buisness but supplied to a few stores in Utah so it took a long time but I finally found it at a store in Gardner Village and they offered to ship it to their sister store in Bountiful so I got lucky and was able to get the dress I wanted. She doesn't like to smile when the camera is on her so i usually have to take the good pictures with my phone so she doesn't know.

We had alot of fun un the month of October, we went to the zoo on one of the last warm saturdays of the year and Kaydence had a blast. We took Jared's little brother Sam with us so of course that mad eit even more fun for Kaydence who just adores her uncle Sam. She really loved the elephants, giraffes, and lions. There were a bunch of super cute new baby animals, I always love going to the zoo but the poor monkeys make me sad in their small cages. We also celebrated Papa's birthday (my dad) and Kaydence couldn't wait to tell him 'happy happy' she is so stinkin cute and she couldn't wait to give him his presents or maybe it's just because she wanted to help open them. Then of course we celebrated Halloween and I am not quite
sure if it is going to be her favorite holiday or christmas because all she kept telling me was that it was halloween at mommy's house and trick or treat, but now she keeps telling me ho ho is coming to bring toys and I keep telling her when it snows and only if you are good so needless to say I am so excited for Christmas because she actually knows what is going on and I am looking forward to making the girls' christmas dresses this year so lets just hope I can find the perfect pattern because I have already found a dress I like but I really want to make them. We went trick or treating at the Layton Hills Mall which she really enjoyed, then a couple of houses in my moms neighborhood, and then with uncle Sam. Kaydence got a ton of candy and even some money from people (she really likes getting dollars). This fall Jared and my sister Kindsey have been playing softball on a coed team in Clearfield and their team pretty much sucks but we have all had fun watching and talking

Kaydence usually finds other kids to play with and when there aren't any she climbs all over the bleachers and puts on any article of clothing she can find. Marley will be 5 months next week and she is getting so big. She loves to

play with Kaydence, well sometimes and she is learning how to grab toys and put them in her mouth. She refuses to sit so it's hard for her to play plus she really likes nope LOVES mommy to hold her which can be a little irritating especially when I need to clean or make dinner but I love every minute I spend with my girls.

Camping

So this weekend we went camping up to the cabin near Monte Cristo and had so much fun. Kaydence just absolutely loves it up there, she just runs, runs, runs and barely stops to eat or go to bed at night. There is so much for her to do but her favorite is to ride the 4 wheeler with uncle Sam. Jared, his friend Evan, and his brother Sam went hunting ground squirrels or 'pot guts' as they call them and Kaydence just kept looking at the fishing poles and asking if she could go fishing, I just had to tell her "you have to wait until daddy comes back because mommy doesn't want to touch the worms" then she would say "eww worms", she is so stinking cute I just love her. Jared's grandparents have also put up a little playground and it has all the toys Kaydence could think of to play with but her favorite is 'the mommy house' why she calls it that I have no idea it's just one of those little plastic houses but if she wants to think it's home wwhy not. I wish I could post pictures but I forgot my camera everytime we went up there which was quite a bit this summer I am so mad at myself but what can I do about it now.  Next week is Marley's blessing and I found her the cutest dress I can't wait for her to wear it, I will definately have my camera then so I will post pictures of my two cute girls next week.

Catching Up

So we have had a fun summer so far. We did alot in July. I turned 23 (I can't believe I am 23 I feel old), we went to the Clearfield 4th of July parade and Kaydence absolutely loved it and then the fireworks which she also love, she is deffinately my child. We went to the Davis family reunion in Georgia, Kaydence loved the airplane she thought it was the neatest thing in the world. Marley was so good on the plane she just slept, my dad was nice enough to get us a non stop flight because I don't know what I would have done if we would have had a layover. The family reunion was fun not everything happened that was planned but it was nice to see family I haven't seen in 2 years. The only bad thing was it ended early with a good old fashioned family brawl so who knows if there will be another family reunion I guess only time will tell. We decided to take Kaydence to the Ogden rodeo with JAreds family because she loves horses, that was not a good plan she was bored after 5 minutes and would not sit down she just kept going back and forth from person to person. We just celebrated Jared's 26th birhtday and Kaydence could not wait to give him his presents she just kept walking around the house saying 'daddy happy happy'. Now I am getting ready to take them camping with my dad srpemom and sisters. Kaydences likes to camp because she loves to be able to run around. She has never camped in a tent before so we will have to see how both the girls do.

So it's official I am no longer pregnant. MarleyAnn Chournos was born on Thursday June 11, 2009 at 12:22 p.m. at Davis Hospital via C- Section weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces measuring 20 1/2 inches long. She is so cute, she has brown hair and bright blue eyes ( for now). She never cries except when she is getting hungry and she sleeps really good. Kaydence absolutely loves her she always wants to hold her and loves to give her kisses and hugs. She can kind of say her name but it's gonna take her some time before it's understandable. We have been home since Sunday afternoon and I am not as exhausted as I thought I would be with having a 2 year old running around and a newborn but I have had alot of help so far, family are taking turns by keeping kaydence for a couple of hours a day so that she can get out of the house and get some personal attention and I can rest and since Marley is a very good baby it makes it easier to do that so that I can heal. Jared has been a big help and lucky for him Marley only gets up like twice a night to eat and then goes back to sleep so he is still getting a good nights rest. The only problem we are really having is Kaydence and the binky. She has been doing really good since we took hers away but now Marley uses a binky and for the most part she leaves it alone or tries to give it to Marley but every once in a while she will put it in her mouth and run. I was hoping this wouldn't happen since Marley doesn't even like the type of binky Kaydence does but I guess we will just have to see how it plays out I hope only a couple more days and she won't want it anymore so cross your fingers. I will post pictures next time once I put them on the computer.

So everything in our lives is about to change. Next thursday June 11 at 12:00 p.m. we will be adding Marley Anne Chournos to our family via C-Section. I really hope that Kaydence takes everything ok once we get home with the new baby. She does really good with my 5 month ol half sister Sarai but she doesn't live in our home so I am sure it is going to be quite the experience. Meanwhile we are in the middle of week 2 with no binky. I feel bad taking it away with everything about to change especially since I don't care that she has one but she bites them and makes a hole then freaks out because it's 'broken' and I don't feel like buying new ones every other day so it's bye-bye binky. She is actually doing really well the first couple of days she would just ask for it then whine a little bit when I told her they were all gone and then she would move on with her day, now we are to the point where she doesn't ask for them and if she sees one of Sarai's she just gives it to her so I really hope that things don't go backwards when Marley is here. For the past couple of weeks we have been going swimming at the Clearfield Aquatic Center and Kaydence absolutely loves it. Last summer I put her in swim lessons and I wasn't really sure if she got it but the more we go this year the more she seems to remember. She got away from me and ran and jumped in the 3'6" part without a life jacket or floaties and she kept herself up and rolled on her back to stay afloat till I got there which was only like 2 seconds but I was still impressed. When she has her life jacket on she watches the other kids and tries to swim it's so cute. Life is so much more exciting when she is around.

So last week was eventful, we celebrated Kaydence's second birthday. We had a Spongebob themed party I even made a Spongebob cake which she loved. She got a million things but the thing she wouldn't let go of was her new bike which she felt the need to ride around the park. I can't believe that she is already two and talking so much and now we are having another baby in just over a month, crazy. Then last wednesday we went to the zoo with my step mom and my half sister Kaydence loved every minute of it. She loved lokking at all the animals and couldn't get enough she was running everywhere. She was so mad when we sat down to eat lunch that was not a priority of hers because there were no animals near by. We rode the new carasel, she thought that was the neatest ride in the world. We also rode the train which is not that cool and not worth spending your dollar on. I will have to post pictures of the zoo when I put them on the computer.

So things in our life are still good. Kaydence got to dye easter eggs yesterday and she loved it, she thinks they are the coolest things because they are colored. Tomorrow is the big family easter party with the egg hunt and I am so excited to watch her find them. She did ok last year but this year she will actually know how to hold her basket so they don't fall out. we got her the cutest easter dress I just hope she is good in church and doesn't get her dress dirty, lately whenever she is in a dress she likes to kneel on thr garage floor and play in the cracks. She is getting so big her birthday is on thursday and we are having her party the following sunday. She is really tall for her age and she is already groing out of 2T pants I don't know what I am going to do if ahe keeps growing, I just hope baby Marley will grow at a normal pace. Everything else is good my pregnany is still good I am finally showing and now strangers are asking me when I am due. So far we are still expecting her on her due date June 17 but I bet it will be earlier like Kaydence especially since I will be having another C-Section, but I guess we will see.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

So we had aan eventful weekend. Kaydence got her ears pierced which was sad, she didn't really cry she didin't like being pinned down so she couldn't move her head that made her really mad but they look really cute. She learned how to do a summer salt which she really enjooys doing and is actually really good at for her age and just learning. Then we took her to the movies her very first one and saw Coraline which is kinda wierd but I guess that's what you get with Tim Burton. Kaydence did really good she watched the entire movie without moving and only talked about some of the things in the movie, I was really impressed. I just wished the snow would melt so that we can go outside, everyday she stares out our sliding door points and says outside. So hopefully soon.

Well it has been a long time since I have written I have had a hard time logging on with my computer and so I had to wait until I could get passed the holidays and to my sisters computer. So everything in our lives are still the same, I am still loving staying home with my daughter as wild as she may be and doing many fun things with her. She is learning her ABC's, colors, shapes and her numbers she is such a super smart kid. She is talking alot and you can understand most of the things she says, she loves talking on the phone as long as it's on speaker so that she can point and tell you a story even though you can't see her. I am having fun begining to plan her second birthday party which is in April so I still have a bit but I am excited, the theme will be Spongbob Squarepants her most favorite character in the whole world. I am trying to prepare her for our new baby, oh ya I am five and a half months pregnant and it's another girl I am due in June so I hope Kaydence can adjust well, I think she will because she loves babies. Well only time will tell.
