Wow, so I haven't blogged in over a year I can't believe how bad I am at this but this year I am going to try and do better.
We had a great Christmas filled with lots of family, fun, and just relaxing (which is something I have not done in a long time). The girls were very spoiled and loved everything they got we have been playing games almost everyday. The one thing that they did not get were any books, I just couldn't find any good ones for them any where I went. Our New Years was good too. I worked for a few hours that night but once I got home we had some fun, it's crazy how late my kids can stay up. Our church switched to 9:00 so it was a little difficult for the girls to get up and stay happy through church. Jared and I are still Primary teachers for the 6 year olds and we really enjoy it. Now to talk about the girls and what they have been up to for the last year.
Kaydence is now 4 years old and is in her second year of preschool, she is in the 4 year old primary class and really enjoys church and learning about Jesus. We are having a issues with her sleeping in her room so if any of you have any suggestions please leave them for me. Since Kaydence is going to enter kindergarten in the fall (I can not believe that time has flown by) I have applied for her to go to a Charter school and we are now just waiting for the lottery to start to see if she has been excepted, so within the next two weeks we will find out so keep your fingers crossed.
Marley is now 2 years old and loves using her imagination. She is still in Nursery but loves it. She is basically potty trained I just need to put her in underwear instead of pullups but we just had so much going on that I didn't dare go anywhere unless she was wearing but but now that the festivities are over I guess it's time. She wants to go to school like her big sister but I am the one who can't let go so next year is going to be really tough for me when I actually do put her in preschool and Kaydence in kindergarten, what will I do with my time.
Well I guess I will post a couple of pictures of Christmas and the most recent family photo.

Jared looks like a caveman in this picture, fortunately his beard is shaved way down, and Marley no longer has a binky.

God Created Children

GOD CREATED CHILDREN (AND IN THE PROCESS GRANDCHILDREN)
To those of us who have children in our lives,
whether they are our own, grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, or students...
here is something to make you chuckle.
Whenever your children are out of control,
you can take comfort from the thought that
even God's omnipotence did not extend
to His own children.
After creating heaven and earth,
God created Adam and Eve.
And the first thing he said was "DON'T!"
"Don't what?" Adam replied.
"Don't eat the forbidden fruit."
God said.
"Forbidden fruit?"
"We have forbidden fruit?"
"Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit!"
" No Way !"
"Yes way!"
"Do NOT eat the fruit!" said God.
'Why ? '
"Because I am your Father and I said so!"
God replied,
wondering why He hadn't stopped
creation after making the elephants
A few minutes later, God saw His children having an apple break
and He was ticked!
"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit?" God asked.
"Uh huh,"
Adam replied.
"Then why did you?"
said the Father.
"I don't know,"
said Eve.
"She started it!"
Adam said.
"Did not"
"Did too"
"DID NOT"
Having had it with the two of them,
God's punishment was that Adam and Eve
should have children of their own.
Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.
If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it,
don't be hard on yourself.
If God had trouble raising children,
what makes you think it would be
a piece of cake for you?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT
1. You spend the first two years of their life
teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend
the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.
2. Grandchildren are God's reward
for not killing your own children.
3. Mothers of teens now know why
some animals eat their young.
4. Children seldom misquote you.
In fact, they usually repeat word for word
what you shouldn't have said
5. The main purpose of holding children's parties
is to remind yourself that there are children
more awful than your own
6. We childproofed our homes,
but they are still getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY:
Be nice to your kids.
They will choose your
nursing home one day

AND FINALLY:
IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION
AND YOU GET A HEADACHE,
DO WHAT IT SAYS
ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:
'TAKE TWO ASPIRIN'
AND 'KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN'!!!!!

Updates

Wow, so it has been an extremely long time since I have updated my bolg (at least it eels that way). I have kind of been avoiding it because the next thing I was going to blog about after Kaydence's birthday was Marley's birthday and her party but it eneded up being ruined so I really haven't felt like talking about it. I just hope next year it turns out better, the families better act like adults next year. So Brittany I am updating now so here you go read your little heart out even though you already know everything. So Marley is officially 1, wow I can't believe it the time just flew by. She is so stinkin cute I can't stand it, she weighs 20 pounds and is 30 inches tall. She doesn't really say much, she says momma, dad, dog, baby, doll and that's about it. She communicates very well and knows everything we say to her and tell her to do so I am not worried about her not talking and neither is her doctor. She has been having some weird health issues that we are still trying to figure out. We are in the process of figuring out if she has a food allergy other than the one we already know of; dairy. The doctor has told me to put her on a soy formula to help her get the calories that she is missing out on while we do this and to gain some weight. We have been having a fun summer, we got a puppy, Kaydence namd him Jake and he is the cutest thing we really love him. He is a Great Pyrenees and he is just now 7 weeks old. We went camping up to Lava Hot Springs with my family and had a BLAST! The girls loved being with my family for 2 days, they loved the pool and we even took Kaydence down the river. We had a little visitor in our campsite, a skunk who wanted to eat everything and could even open bags. We had family pictures taken at the begining of June and I absolutley love them! A friend from highschool has her own company and does amazing work (twicetheglam.com). I am doing really well in school and am loving every minute of it. It's nice to be around adults who are in the same boat as me. Right now I am taking a Medical Billing and Coding class and this one is going to suck bad, I have only been to one class and it is so confusing and it doesn't help that my teacher has only taught it once before so I don't even know what to expect. Well I am bored of typing so I guess I will do more a different day and just add some pictures in now.

Kaydence's Birthday!!!

Wow I can't believe that it has been three years since I had my baby girl, time goes by so fast. Kaydence's birthday was on Friday the 16th but we celebrated it on Saturday the 17th and I think the party was a success, Kaydence sure had a great time. It was a Mickey Mouse themed party that she chose and even helped me choose the decorations for it, she is completely obbsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney channel and has to watch it every morning. We had the party at our house in the backyard and it was just a perfect day for a BBQ. All of our family came and some friends and we just sat around talknig and eating and watched Kaydence open up presents and then try to play with everything before she would open another. She got spoiled but it's so hard not to spoil her especially with some of the faces she gives and those beautiful big brown eyes. At the begining she had to make sure that everyone had on their Mickey ears and if you didn't then she would hand you some and help you put them on, i think she just wanted everyone to have as much fun as she was having. She had a Mickey face shaped cake that I made and it turned out really good, plus it tasted good too.
My beautiful cake.
She loves her new bike.

These next pictures are from Easter
They did not want to sit still for me to get anygood pictures of them in their dresses.

swimming

So every Wednesday (well most of them) My stepmom and I take my kids and my little sister to The Clearfield Aquatic Center to swim and they love it. Kaydence thinks she is big enough to swim without any type of flotation device and she does really good but I still make her wear either her life jacket or the little arm floaties. Marley absolutely loves the water, she cannot get enough she just loves to splash and squeal it is so much fun to watch and play with them. Nothing much has been going on around our house except for Marley reaching new milestones. She crawls like crazy and is super fast, she pulls herself up on everything and has started standing without holding on to something it's only a matter of time before she is walking. She can go up the stairs by herself but has not even attempted to go down, she can say a few words but my favorite is momma and then she will look up at me with those big blue eyes and it's so hard not to pick her up so I guess it's my fault she is a spoiled baby. Kaydence is about to turn 3, wow where has the time gone. She has decided that she wants to have a Mickey Mouse party and even told me who she wanted to invite, everything that comes on t.v. that she wants she always says mom can I have that for my birthday at my Mickey Mouse party. I love it. She is so smart and is just learning more and suprising me everyday. This past weekend into the week she had the Chickenpox, seriously who gets the Chickenpox anymore? Since she was vaccinated for the Chickenpox she didn't get is nearly as bad as it's supposed to be, I guess the shot does what it's supposed to and preparesthe body for what it should look like so the virus has no choice but to change and it doesn't hit very strong. She only had maybe 20 spots mostly on her stomach and they never itched but she was also put on a medication so maybe that helped a little too. I am just hoping Marley doesn't get it since she hasn't been immunized yet and she will get the real full blown thing which would really suck. Jared and I were called as primary teachers of the 6 year olds but have yet taught do to Kaydence's Chickenpox but tomorrow should be fun I just hope they listen.

Growing

So I can't beleive how fast time goes by, I mean my kids are getting so big. Marley is eight months old, she's crawling, jabbering, she can pull herself up on anything that stays in place, she loves food and most of all the water. If she hears the tub water running she crawls in to the bathroom as fast as she can and pulls herself up so she can see the water and as soon as it's high enough for her to reach she starts splashing. It looks like I am going to have another water baby, Kaydence loves to swim it's hard for us to leave the pool so when we go we have to make sure we are prepared to stay for a while. Next week we are going to go swimming with my step mom and baby sister so we will see what Marley thinks of the pool and all the people around I just hope I remember the camera. Kaydence is almost three I can't beleive it and she is so smart I have been looking for a preescholl to put her in to help her become more advanced in what she already knows but all the ones I have found she has to be over three so it kinda sucks, I just wish someone woul make an exception because she fits in so well with older kids but whatever I guess I have to be patient. I love my kids and wouldn't trade them for anything in the world even on our bad days.

Holidays

So I have definately been slacking on blogging but hey I am back and with super cute pictures. We had a great Thanksgiving we went to my grandma's house and spent the day with my entire family which was a blast and Kaydence got to play with some cousins she doesn't get to see very often. Kaydence was so excited for Christmas and she kept asking me when Santa was coming so I told her he would come when it snowed so throughout December every time it would snow she would ask if Santa was coming and I felt so bad everytime I had to tell her no not yet. Christmas this year was so much fun because Kaydence actually understood what was going on and she could tell me what she wanted to get. We took her to see Santa and she walke staight up to him, climbed on his lap and then wouldn't say a word no matter how hard I tried to get her to talk so the picture of her and Marley with Santa is not the best. Christmas finally came around and it was a blast but very exhausting. We had my grandparents on my dads side came in town as well as my step moms parents so we had a great Christmas eve dinner at my dads and then we had to go to my in laws house to have Christmas with them. Christmas morning was fun Kaydence was so excited everytime she opened a new present and all she talked about all day was giving and opening presents. We later went to my dads and then to my moms, both Kaydence and Marley got spoiled rotten. Kaydence's big present was a kitchen and some play food which she absolutely loves, plus numerous other presents. Marley and Kaydence got some combined presents but they both love the wagon they got, they made Jared pull them up and down the hall and around the living room all morning. Marley is now seven months old and is grownign so fast, she is very tall for her age just like Kaydence was/is. She is such a food eater and a HUGE momma's girl which I love but it gets irrating, sometimes I can't do anything without holding her. Since I hate super long posts I will end mine now and try to do better in keeping up on my blog so now here are some pictures I hope you enjoy. I will post the really cute profesional pics we got done of them in their cute winter outfits and their Christmas dresses as soo as I get them in the computer.

These two pictures are from the Chournos Christmas party we had at a tumbling place. It was so fun.
